    Artist's Notes

Each painting has a unique story and love from the heArt!! The process starts with my love of nature and the details that encapsulate me on a daily basis. The heArtful canvases are created by (me) Veronica de Saint Phalle. Each canvas is created with acrylic paint, a variety of brushes and other techniques that I try - some work others don’t… always challenging…

I had this great desire to do an abstract painting - especially after the painting Pu3zle was created.

After some soul searching and figuring out a few of the heArtful things that surround us - the concept was born. What I noticed was guitars and pitchers - why not combine them?

With abstract the mind is free to flow - such as the water and the music notes in the waterfalls… the canvas had the sketch of the pitcher and guitar as one... the base of the guitar there are symbols and more pitchers and cups, and guitar picks and a tequila bottle… hence the agave plants… and from the agave plants the squiggles and dots - animate that came to me and thought what better place to put them….

Creating the waves was the hard part - very frustrating - perhaps I was in over my head with this one - as a newbie I had struggles a lot… but the end result was satisfaction - a mokume’ gane guitar neck - Metal that has been layered and cut at the cross section…and the dog head was the final touch added to this abstract painting that is heArtful!!
